Cowboys DE Ware listed as doubtful for Lions

Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware sat out a game for the first time in his career last Sunday. He could miss this Sunday's game as well after being listed as doubtful on the teams' practice report Friday.

Ware did not participate in practice all week with a strained quadriceps (thigh). He has been conditioning on the side, leading to hope that the normally fast-healing Ware would be available for Sunday's game at Detroit.

The Cowboys will definitely be without starting safety J.J. Wilcox, who injured a knee in practice on Thursday. Fellow rookie Jeff Heath will likely start in his place.

Starting running back DeMarco Murray is listed as questionable after being limited in practice last week. Murray missed last week's game with a knee sprain.

Receiver Miles Austin is also listed as questionable after his continued struggle with a hamstring. Austin has had limited participation in practice all week.

Fellow receiver Dez Bryant is probable after initially being limited in Wednesday's practice because of wrist and hamstring issues.

Guard Ronald Leary sat out Wednesday's practice with a knee problem but has seen been a full participant and is probable. Defensive linemen Jason Hatcher (neck), Nick Hayden (back) and George Selvie (shoulder) are all listed as probable.
