Cowboys' Bryant switches agents to Jay-Z

ARLINGTON, Texas - Dez Bryant has 99 problems. But former agent Eugene Parker ain't one.

A source close to the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver tells FOX Sports Southwest that Bryant felt Parker wasn't "hands-on" enough in working to get him a contract extension this year. Bryant, in the last year of his existing deal, is still in Dallas' plans to make a "Cowboy for life" but that effort will now be supervised by Jay-Z's Roc Nation sports management team -- or, maybe more "hands-on," by CAA, sources say.

Bryant has worked to separate himself by some of his previous influences now that he has a bonded connection inside the Cowboys locker room. It so happens that teammates Jason Witten and Tony Romo also work with CAA.

One national report suggests that Jay-Z represents a problem for Jerry Jones, but a source close to the Cowboys owner tells FOX Sports Southwest that in fact the reverse is true. Jones and Jay-Z have a friendship that dates back at least nine years, and the Cowboys see marketing opportunities within the connection.
