Corey Kluber sets World Series strike out record
It didn't take long for history to be made in the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians.
Corey Kluber became the first pitcher to record eight strikeouts through the first three innings in a World Series game.
To put this feat in perspective, Kluber struck out all but one of the batters he faced through his first three innings.
Kluber passed legends like Bob Gibson, Orlando Hernandez and Randy Johnson who each had seven strikeouts through the first three innings in their World Series' starts.
This is the first time in history a starting pitcher has struck out 8 batters in the first 3 IP of a #WorldSeries game.
