Colts P Pat McAfee on Brian Billick's kicker comments: 'I had no idea he was still alive'

Last week former Baltimore Ravens head coach and current NFL Network commentator Brian Billick indicted kickers as non-football players. A separate, sublass class of individuals who play football, but aren't football players.

"I had never coached a kicker before. Because kickers . . . kickers aren't football players," Billick said on the "Dan Patrick Show." "They may be people, too, but they're not football players."

On the heels of Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan's shot back at Billick, outspoken Colts punter Pat McAfee tossed several grenades at the former coach during an impassioned speech Tuesday on "The Bob & Tom Show." Watch in the video above.

"Here's the thing I have to say about (Billick's comments). If I've learned anything from social media, it's truly that the most irrelevant people always say the most absurd stuff," McAfee said. "Like, I had no idea Brian Billick was still alive. Right? None of us did. None of us had a clue he was even alive. But then his name starts popping up in my mentions, he says this and I'm like, 'Why is this guy even talking?' And I understand he was once a football coach, and he has a Super Bowl ring, which is awesome. Good for him."

"You guys know how it is," Billick said on "GameDay." "They're a part of your team, you want to give them love. But you also -- man you're out there sweating in training camp and in practice and you look over there and those guys are doing whatever it is they do, just kind of hanging out and it's like 'Can you just do your job?'
