College of Charleston defeats The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Andrew Goudelock scored 29 points to lead the College of Charleston over The Citadel 87-66 on Saturday.

Goudelock, the No. 8 scorer in the nation (23.1 points per game), was 10 of 18 from the field, including 6 of 11 from 3-point range. He also had seven assists.

The Cougars (12-5, 5-0 Southern Conference), who won their third in a row, shot 48.4 percent from the field (30 of 62) and 41.9 percent from behind the arc (13 of 31).

Antwaine Wiggins and Donavan Monroe added 12 points each for Charleston and Jeremy Simmons chipped in 10.

The Cougars outrebounded The Citadel 35-29 with Willis Hall grabbing nine boards for Charleston.

Cameron Wells led the Bulldogs (5-13, 1-5) with 26 points. Mike Groselle chipped in 15 points and nine rebounds for The Citadel, which lost its fifth straight.
