Clutterbuck still ailing from undisclosed injury

WEDNESDAY'S STORYLINE: Cal Clutterbuck, who sat out last night's 7-1 loss in Colorado, did not practice with the team today in Phoenix.

"He's still not feeling great today. After the game he felt really good but came in today not feeling so great," said Mike Yeo.

Clutterbuck has not been feeling well the past few days and the team wants to be cautious with him.

"We will have to monitor it very closely, and it stinks, we could use him in the lineup but we don't want to put him at risk right now, hopefully it is just a matter of him not feeling well," added Yeo.

Defenseman Clayton Stoner who has missed 16 games with a lower body injury is "very close" to returning said Yeo. Yeo would love to have the big physical defenseman back in the lineup, but they also don't want to rush him.

"We don't want to put him in a bad spot. We want to make sure he is ready to go, but if he isn't ready to go then we miss him," noted Yeo.

HE SAID IT: "We are not as sharp as we need to be. We don't have a very big margin for error right now. But, there is just too many little details in the game that we pride ourselves in, that we work on in practice and we do these things over and over again in practice, we do them great...It is a matter of focus and preparation, it is a difficult time for everybody to get focused on those little things when you have all these other things that are in your head, but that is what we have to do right now." –Yeo on focusing on the details
