Cincinnati's Moscot injured in first inning against Tigers
DETROIT (AP) -- Cincinnati right-hander Jon Moscot left Monday night's game at Detroit in the first inning after dislocating his left shoulder while tagging out a runner.
With one out, Moscot fielded Miguel Cabrera's comebacker and trapped Detroit's Anthony Gose between second and third. Moscot chased Gose all the way back to second and went diving forward to apply the tag. Then he was slow getting up.
Pedro Villarreal came in to replace him. Villarreal was recalled from Triple-A Louisville before the game, when the Reds put left-hander Tony Cingrani on the disabled list, retroactive to Sunday, with a strained left shoulder.
Moscot was making his third start of the season. He's 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA.
