Cincinnati wins 5th straight, beating Bowling Green by 29

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Kyle Washington scored a career-high 24 points and Cincinnati rolled to an 85-56 victory over Bowling Green on Sunday night for its fifth straight win.

Washington made 11 of 13 field goals, and has scored in double figures in every game this season. Justin Jenifer had 14 points and Troy Caupain added 12 points for Cincinnati (7-1), which shot 34 of 61 from the field for 56 percent.

Zack Denny and Wes Alcegaire scored 16 points apiece to lead Bowling Green (3-5).

The Bearcats took the lead for good seven minutes into the game, and built a 41-24 halftime lead. Bowling Green (3-5) shot just 9 of 32 from the field for 28 percent in the first half. The Falcons finished 21-of-57 shooting for 37 percent.

Cincinnati plays at No. 18 Butler (8-0) on Saturday. Bowling Green visits Evansville (4-4) on Thursday.
