Check out Sporting KC's new primary jersey

The Sporting blue background is the same. The elements are not.

Sporting Kansas City unveiled its new primary jersey for the 2017 season Friday. The jersey dovetails with a "We. Together" marketing campaign, which also was rolled out Friday.

Among the changes is a button-down white collar (adidas' first ever on a soccer jersey) that matches new white shorts. The right sleeve includes a "No other club" script in the handwriting of Sporting KC defender Matt Besler.

The script by Besler, a Kansas City native, gives the jersey a personal touch, according to John Moncke, the club's vice president of stadium and brand revenue.

"'No other club' is a chant that our supporters wrote," Moncke said, "and anyone who has been to Children's Mercy Park knows how important our supporters are to the club's success. We wanted to help tell these special narratives through the new jersey."

The jersey also incorporates a new Ivy Investments logo across the chest along with other design elements. The primary kit will accompany a dark indigo secondary jersey that was introduced last season.
