Charles Woodson heading back to Oakland
The Oakland Raiders have agreed to a one-year contract with cornerback Charles Woodson, FOXSports.com has learned.
Woodson, who spent his first eight seasons in Oakland, agreed to a seven-year deal with the Green Bay Packers in 2006. In February, the cornerback was released.
Since then, Woodson has visited with a handful of teams including the 49ers and Broncos. Ultimately, the temptation to play where it all began was too much.
Woodson will join a secondary that is being overhauled for the second straight season and his experience could help the transition.
