Chardon HS coach Frank Hall featured on cover of Sports Illustrated

Frank Hall, a beloved assistant football coach at Chardon High School is featured on this month's cover of Sports Illustrated for his heroic actions during the tragic shooting that took place at the school on February 27th, 2012.
Written by award-winning writer Gary Smith, the exclusive cover story takes readers through that horrific day in Chardon and how Hall took action against the shooter, saving dozens of lives and comforting those whom were injured along the way.

A statement about the article was released by Chardon Schools on Wednesday:
"We think the world of Coach Hall, who modeled such courage and determination for all of us in the aftermath of our horrific school shootings. While the Sports Illustrated cover story serves as a tragic reminder of the proliferation of school violence, we're pleased that the story will provide a wider audience the opportunity read about this special man.  Chardon Schools are all the better for the time he spent here, and Ashtabula Lakeside scored big when he chose to return home."
