Real Salt Lake 1 -- Municipal 0
Santos Laguna 6 -- Deportivo Saprissa 1
Santos Laguna confirmed their place in the last eight with an emphatic victory at Estadio Corona. The two teams entered the evening tied on six points through three games, but the Liga MX side sealed its quarterfinal berth with a rampant second half. Bryan Rabello staked Santos to a halftime lead, but Mynor Escoe poked home to equalize early in the second half. It proved only a brief reprieve as Djaniny and Quick Mendoza struck to restore the lead. Santos appeared on course for the knockout round at that point, but Carlos Izquierdoz, Diego Gonzalez and Alonso Escoboza removed any doubt inside the final half-hour. The rout placed Santos in contention for a top-four seed depending on other results.
