Carpenter return is undetermined

JUPITER, Fla. - After undergoing evaluation in St. Louis this week, the team has determined that Chris Carpenter has nerve irritation that has led to weakness in his right shoulder.  There has been no new nerve injury and the cervical disc injury which happened earlier in Spring Training is a non-issue.  

The team expects Carpenter to return to Spring Training camp in Jupiter, Fla. by Monday, March 26.  A time-table for his return to the mound is undetermined at this time.
