Carlos Gomez to Noah Syndergaard on head shot: 'Put that behind you, brother'
Milwaukee Brewers All-Star center fielder Carlos Gomez is doing just fine after getting drilled in his helmet on Sunday by a 96-mph fastball from Mets 24-year-old hurler Noah Syndergaard.
"I hope Gomez is OK," the 6-foot-6 Syndergaard said after the game -- only his second MLB start. "It's never really happened. It kind of rattled me a little bit."
Check out what Syndergaard said Sunday night followed by Gomez's response:
No harm, no foul, plus Gomez appears to appreciate that playing in the bigs means he'll have to stand in the batter's box against giants like Syndergaard nicknamed "Thor."
To see people dressed as #Thor was as cool as getting a win! And to @C_Gomez27, glad you're ok. #LGM
