Caps' Laich skates, will be game-time decision

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Brooks Laich is skating again with the Washington Capitals, just two days hurting his left knee.

Laich took part in the morning skate ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Florida Panthers.

Laich was on crutches and wearing a knee brace after he was rammed into the boards during the second period of Sunday's loss to the Boston Bruins.

But he says he received a positive report from the doctor on Monday and felt good on the ice Tuesday.

Still, neither Laich nor coach Dale Hunter would say whether the versatile center will play against the Panthers in a game for first place in the Southeast Division.
