Burke, Robinson earn weekly awards

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Another week means another award haul at the Crisler Center.

After blowout wins over Northwestern (94-66) and Iowa (95-67) to start Big Ten play, Michigan swept the weekly conference awards. Trey Burke was named Player of the Week and Glenn Robinson III was named Freshman of the Week.

In the two wins, Burke had 42 points, 17 assists and only three turnovers as he picked up his second Player of the Week award this season. Tim Hardaway Jr. won the award in November.

The Wolverines have done even better with their talented freshmen, as Robinson's win gave Michigan five of the last seven awards. He had 20 points and 10 rebounds against Iowa, to join Nick Stauskas (three times) and Mitch McGary as freshmen winners.

The second-ranked Wolverines (15-0) will try to tie a school record with a 16-0 start on Wednesday when they host Nebraska. If they beat the Cornhuskers, they'll look to set a new mark at No. 15 Ohio State on Sunday.
