Bucks waive Gary Payton II, sign Sean Kilpatrick

The Milwaukee Bucks requested waivers on guard Gary Payton II while signing guard Sean Kilpatrick to a two-way contract Monday.

Payton II was signed to a two-way contract on Oct. 17 and has used up most of the 45 days of NBA service permitted in the two-way deals. He made 12 appearances with the Bucks, averaging 2.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game.

The rookie also played in three games with the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 18.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.3 assists in 33.0 minutes per game.

Kilpatrick was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 7 after playing in 16 games. The 6-4 guard was averaging 4.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per game.

Last season, Kilpatrick set career highs in games played (70), starts (24), points (13.1), rebounds (4.0) and assists (2.2) per game.

The Bucks roster now stands at 17.
