Bucks trade Michael Carter-Williams to Bulls, acquire Tony Snell

The Milwaukee Bucks announced a trade with the Chicago Bulls, acquiring fourth-year guard Tony Snell in exchange for fourth-year guard Michael Carter-Williams.

The 24-year old Snell has averaged 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 16.0 minutes in three games to date during the 2016 preseason. He appeared in 64 games (33 starts) for the Bulls last season, averaging 5.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 20.3 minutes per contest. The 20th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft out of the University of New Mexico, Snell shot 36.1 percent from the three-point arc last season.

The 25-year-old Carter-Williams averaged 11.5 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds in 30.5 minutes over 54 games (37 starts) for the Bucks last season. Originally drafted by Philadelphia in the 2013 NBA Draft (11th overall) out of Syracuse, he was acquired by Milwaukee in a trade on Feb. 19, 2015.
