Bucks end up with 10th slot in NBA Draft Lottery

The Milwaukee Bucks finished in a three-way tie for eighth place in the NBA standings but, thanks to a tiebreaking lottery Friday, ended up with the 10th slot in the NBA Draft Lottery.

If the Bucks don't finish with a top-three pick in the lottery, which will be held May 17, then Milwaukee will own the 10th overall pick in this year's NBA Draft. Milwaukee will have a 6.5 percent chance to move into the top three, with a 1.8 percent chance of getting the No. 1 overall pick. By getting the eighth or ninth lottery slot, the Bucks would have had slightly better odds (6.8 and 1.9 percent).

Sacramento ended up with the eighth slot and Denver (which traded its first-rounder to Toronto) has the ninth.

Last season, Miami selected Justice Winslow with the No. 10 overall pick.

Milwaukee picked No. 17 in the 2015 draft, No. 2 in 2014, No. 15 in 2013 and No. 14 in 2012. In 2011, the Bucks owned the No. 10 pick but traded that selection (Jimmer Fredette) as part of a three-team deal with Sacramento and Charlotte.
