Buccaneers without second-year Mike Evans against Titans
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are opening the season against the Tennessee Titans without one of Jameis Winston's top receivers, second-year pro Mike Evans.
Evans, who had 68 receptions for 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns as a rookie, has a sore left hamstring. He practiced Friday for the first time since the Bucs' second preseason game and had been listed as questionable.
Cornerback Jason McCourty is out for the Titans with a groin injury.
Cornerback Mike Jenkins, running back Mike James, quarterback Ryan Griffin, offensive lineman Eric Kush, defensive ends Kourtnei Brown and T.J. Fatinikun are also inactive for Tampa Bay.
Tennessee's other inactives are quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, running back Antonio Andrews, guard Quinton Spain, tight end Chase Coffman, defensive end Ropati Pitoitua and defensive tackle Sammie Hill.
