Brewers reinstate Yelich from DL, option Lopez to Triple-A

After missing the past 11 games with an oblique injury, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.

Milwaukee optioned right-handed pitcher Jorge Lopez to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Yelich began the season on a tear and owns a .385/.407/.577 slash line, five RBI and three extra-base hits in 27 plate appearances. He was not included in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Cincinnati.

Lopez threw 45 pitches in three innings Monday night, allowing one earned run and two hits in his first big-league appearance since June 29, 2017 with the Crew.

The Brewers went 4-7 in Yelich's absence.
