Brewers recall Brett Phillips from Triple-A

Brett Phillips didn't quite crack the Milwaukee Brewers' talented outfield out of spring training, but the 23-year-old is getting an early look with Christian Yelich on the 10-day disabled list.

The Brewers recalled the 23-year-old from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday. Phillips made his major-league debut last season, hitting .276/.351/.448 with 12 RBI and four home runs in 37 games with Milwaukee.

He'll join the team Monday afternoon in St. Louis.

A sixth-round pick of the Brewers in 2012, Phillips hit .305/.377/.567 with 19 home runs in 105 games for Colorado Springs last season.
