Brewers' Davis, Nelson try to keep hot streaks going vs. Nationals
As Milwaukee travels to Washington D.C., to play the Nationals, two Brewers players look to remain on hot streaks. One will be on the mound Friday, the other at the plate.
Starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson has found his groove since late June.

Davis and the Brewers face a tall task, at least Friday, with Gio Gonzalez on the mound for Washington. Milwaukee has not fared well against lefties this season, ranking last in the majors in batting average (.220) and on-base percentage (.280).
Ryan Braun, though, feasts on lefties. He has a 1.023 OPS vs. left-handers this season, second-best in the National League. Since 1974, Braun has the third-highest OPS vs. lefties (min. 750 plate appearances) at 1.037, behind just Frank Thomas (1.083) and Manny Ramirez (1.060).
