Braxton Miller one of final 15 for Walter Camp Award
Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has been named one of 15 players to watch for the Walter Camp Player of the Year award.
There will be one more cut to a group of finalists for the nation's fourth-oldest college football award.
Miller isn't likely to win the award because he missed three games due to injury earlier in the season, but he's returned and is playing at a very high level for No. 3 Ohio State, which is 9-0 heading into Saturday's game at Illinois.
Miller has thrown 15 touchdown passes, completed 72.5 percent of his passes and is on pace to break Troy Smith's school completion percentage record of 65 percent. He also has an efficency rating of 175.87, well ahead of Bobby Hoying's 163.4 in 1995.
Ohio State ranks sixth in the nation in total offense at better than 530 yards per game and fifth in scoring at 48.2.
The reigning Big Ten Player of the Year, Miller is also a semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien award.
