Braves' Matt Marksberry being treated for severe dehydration

Days after Tweeting about a health issue that is not related to baseball, Braves reliever Matt Marksberry is being treated in a Florida hospital for severe dehydration.

The left-hander's brother posted on Facebook that Marksberry was on life support, but per multiple reports, word is the pitcher's vital signs are good and he is not on life support.

On Monday, Marksberry posted the following on Twitter: "I don't want to sound selfish but I really could use some prayers for my health right now Non baseball related. Thank you guys." The Cincinnati native later added, "To my previous tweet I say this because I'm far from my support system."

Marksberry, 26, spent most of the 2016 season at Triple-A Gwinnett, posting a 2.65 ERA with 32 strikeouts and 15 walks in 34 innings over 28 games. He made four appearances for the Braves, striking out two and walking one in 3 1/3 innings with a 5.40 ERA.

In 2015 he jumped from Double-A Mississippi and made a major impact on Atlanta's bullpen with a 5.01 ERA in 23 1/3 innings pitched over 31 games. He fanned 21 with 16 walks.
