Braves Continue to Add Players

With the start of the July 2 international signing period, the Braves have been active adding players to the organization.

Scouting Director Johnny Almaraz confirmed to Fox Sports South.com the Braves have signed 12 international players to future service contracts.

The top player signed is 16-year-old Dominican right-hander Mauricio Cabrera.

Cabrera is a 6-2, 180-pound pitcher with a fastball in the 89-92 mph range, along with an advanced changeup and a curve.
