Bolts' Coburn, Palat, Paquette to miss significant time during final stretch
The Tampa Bay Lightning are dealing with injury problems as they approach the regular season's final weeks.
On Thursday, the team said defenseman Braydon Coburn, gained in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers on March 2, is expected to be out four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury. Winger Ondrej Palat will be sidelined two-to-three weeks with a lower-body injury and winger Cedric Paquette will miss 10 to 14 days with an upper-body injury.
The injuries will be an obstacle as Tampa Bay tries to survive a tight Atlantic Division race. The Lightning are tied atop the division with the Montreal Canadiens with 91 points, and the Detroit Red Wings follow with 85.
Palat has 52 points this season, Paquette 19 and Coburn 11.
