Boca Raton Bowl to be held at FAU on Dec. 23

The inaugural Boca Raton Bowl will be played on Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. at FAU Stadium.

The Mid-American Conference, Conference USA and American Athletic Conference are the affiliated conferences for the Boca Raton Bowl. The MAC and C-USA are slated to appear in the first game this December.

''We have a beautiful venue in FAU Stadium and a very engaged community in Palm Beach County,'' Boca Raton Bowl executive director Doug Mosley said. ''We're looking forward to a first-class event.''

FAU Stadium opened in 2011 and seats 29,419.
