Bobby Knight: Donald Trump is the 'most prepared man in history' to be president

It was announced a few days ago that legendary Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight would be introducing Donald Trump at a rally ahead of the Indiana primary. And on Wednesday, there he was at Farmer's Colisseum in his nicest v-neck sweater, heaping praise on the presidential hopeful.

With Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan giving a glowing speech in front of a crowd of 10,000-plus in New York last week, Knight is just the most recent of sports figures to publicly endorse Trump. Knight's endorsement should also come as no surprise, considering the bad date phone call he gave Trump during an October interview with the New York Times:

Still though. No one could've expected Knight's endorsement to be so ... ringing.

Trump introduced Knight and later heaped praise on the coach who led the Hoosiers for 29 seasons, calling his endorsement "the greatest endorsement in the history of Indiana."

"What a winner that is. That's a great man," Trump said. "I love the attitude."

Trump said Knight had urged him to mount a run for president before he launched his campaign and said he'd offered his endorsement then.
