Blues sign Foley to three-year, entry-level deal

The player the Blues obtained from Winnipeg in the Paul Stastny trade last month is now under contract with the Blues.

The Blues announced Wednesday they have signed forward Erik Foley to a three-year, entry-level contract that will begin with the 2018-19 season. Foley will report to San Antonio on an American Hockey League amateur tryout after he undergoes a physical exam in St. Louis.

Foley, 20, led Providence College with 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) in 38 regular-season games last season, his third in college. He helped Team USA win the gold medal at the 2016-17 U-20 World Junior Championships.

Foley was originally drafted by the Jets in the third round in 2015.
