Blues can complete Canadian sweep with win over equally hot Habs

In an early-season schedule that is heavy on opponents from north of the border, the St. Louis Blues have swept all five games against Canadian teams. Rarely in their history have the Blues stretched such a streak to six straight games.

Blues' Longest Winning Streaks vs. Canadian Teams

Despite losing twice to the Montreal Canadiens last season, the Blues still have improved their performance against the Habs with each passing decade.

Blues' Record vs. Canadiens by Decade

The Blues lost as many times to Montreal last season (0-2-0) as they had over their previous 13 meetings since January 2000 (10-2-0-1, .808).

Tuesday's game will be the Blues' first opportunity to face an Eastern Conference opponent in 2015-16. Strikingly, St. Louis' point percentage versus the East this decade is 75 points higher than any other team.

Best Records vs. Eastern Conference Since 2010-11

Vladimir Tarasenko shares the NHL lead in even-strength goals since the beginning of 2014-15. And Montreal's Max Pacioretty joins Tarasenko as one of only five skaters with at least 30 over that time frame.

Alex Pietrangelo and P.K. Subban have each logged a ton of ice time in the early going.
