Bengals announce training camp schedule

From the Bengals:

After a successful debut at Paul Brown Stadium in 2012, Bengals Training Camp returns to PBS in 2013, with open practices running from July 26-Aug. 15. Those practices will be free and open to the public, and like last year, they will offer access to the team not available during the regular season.

"Training camp offers the unique experience of watching the team up close as it prepares for the upcoming season," said Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn. "The Bengals are very pleased to be holding camp here in Cincinnati again this year and look forward to being a part of the downtown area's many fun activities."

Bengals Training Camp kicks off at PBS at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25 with a special Bengals Pep Rally, which is free and open to all fans. Featuring local band "The Rusty Griswolds," the Pep Rally will provide the opportunities to meet this year's team, to hear from head coach Marvin Lewis, and to obtain autographs from Bengals alumni players (more details about the Pep Rally will be announced at a later date).

Camp continues with practices open to the public starting on Friday, July 26. Most practices will be held on the practice fields just west of PBS. However, added to the schedule this year will be two 6 p.m. "Family Night" practices inside the stadium on Aug. 1 and Aug. 11, which will feature enhanced attractions for children (more details about these two practices will be announced at a later date). The final practice open to fans will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15.

"Holding training camp at PBS last year worked out great for our players, staff, coaches, and especially for our fans," said head coach Marvin Lewis. "This year, with the addition of HBO's 'Hard Knocks' featuring the Bengals, I think fans will have a great opportunity to see up close just what our guys go through as they prepare for another NFL season."

ATTENDING TRAINING CAMP PRACTICES:

All training camp practices (other than the two Family Night sessions inside PBS) will be held on the Bengals' practice fields. Total capacity for the practice fields this year will include 1500 bleacher seats, plus additional room for fans to stand along the sidelines. No passes will be required to enter.

The first 53 fans entering the gates to the practice fields to show a Fifth Third Bank debit card or credit card will be upgraded to the Fifth Third Reserved Bleacher Seats. This promotion does not apply to the two practices inside the stadium.

Fans will be allowed to bring small soft-sided coolers, unopened bottles of water and food into all practices. Concessions and Bengals merchandise will be available to purchase. No chairs or other temporary seating will be permitted.

At the conclusion of every practice on the practice fields, groups of players will be available for autographs for 15 minutes after practice ends. For the safety of pedestrians, no autographs will be permitted as players enter or leave the practice fields. At the conclusion of the Family Night practices inside PBS, the entire roster of players will be available for autographs after practice ends.

Parking for all practices is available in the public parking lots located adjacent to PBS at established prices.
