Benches clear in Colorado as Perdomo pitch sails behind Arenado

COLORADO -- It didn't take long for things to get heated in Denver Wednesday afternoon when benches cleared following a Luis Perdomo pitch that sailed behind Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado. Immediately following the pitch, Arenado charged at Perdomo and a melee ensued shortly after between both teams.

The scuffle on Wednesday followed a couple of instances where two Padres outfielders were hit by pitches: Manuel Margot on Tuesday night, and Hunter Renfroe earlier in Wednesday's game.

On Tuesday night, Padres center fielder Manuel Margot was hit in the ribs and ended up exiting the game and landing on the disabled list. Then in the second inning of Wednesday's game, Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe was hit by a fastball in the wrist.
