Behind the scenes at Ronda Rousey's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot

When Ronda Rousey isn't beating up opponents and finishing fights in record-breaking time, the UFC women's bantamweight champion has an active career outside the Octagon, including several acting roles and, most recently, swimsuit model.

Rousey posed for this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue that was released prior to her fight at UFC 184 against Cat Zingano, becoming the first MMA fighter to appear in the special annual issue.

Now just days after Rousey upended Zingano in a record 14 seconds, Sports Illustrated has released a behind-the-scenes look at her photoshoot.

Rousey says part of the motivation for doing the issue in the first place was breaking down barriers that a swimsuit model had to have a certain body type to appear in the issue.

"I'm so happy to have this opportunity because I really do believe that there shouldn't just be one cookie-cutter body type that everyone is aspiring to be," Rousey said.
