Bearcats planning official bowl sendoff for fans

Fans of the Bearcats who want to see the Cincinnati football team off to Annapolis for the Military Bowl can do so Dec. 21.

The university announced it is holding an official public sendoff at Dave & Buster's in Springdale, where UC's preferred away-game watch parties have been held for the past six years.

Starting at 5 p.m., the event is free to the public and will include bowl guides and commemorative bowl posters for all fans. The UC spirit squad and Bearcat mascot will be in attendance to greet fans, with the Voice of the Bearcats, Dan Hoard, hosting the event. Staff members from the UC ticket office will be on hand to assist fans interested in purchasing Military Bowl tickets.

The football team and coaching staff will be on hand to address the crowd and sign autographs. A brief program will include the 2014 season highlight video and a Q&A with Coach Tuberville and selected student-athletes.

For more information regarding watch party events and additional location details please contact Dave & Buster's at 513-671-5501.

UC finished the regular season with a 9-3 mark, winning a share of the American Athletic Conference Championship, its fifth conference title in seven years and 14th all time. The Bearcats will face Virginia Tech (6-6) in the 2014 Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, benefiting the USO on Dec. 27, 2014 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md.
