Badgers ranked No. 23 in AP preseason poll

Wisconsin's men's basketball team is ranked No. 23 in the Associated Press preseason top 25 poll released Friday.

The Big Ten leads all conferences with five teams ranked in the top 25. Indiana enters the season ranked No. 1, Ohio State No. 4, Michigan No. 5 and Michigan State No. 14. Minnesota is receiving votes outside the top 25.

The Big Ten is the first conference since the Big East in 2008-09 to have three teams ranked in the top five of the preseason AP poll.
