Badgers 2016 recruit CB Pennamon headed to prep school

Cornerback Ke'shan Pennamon was expected to join the rest of his 2016 recruits with the Wisconsin Badgers this summer, however his timetable has changed.

Pennamon, rated a three-star recruit by all the national scouting services, has decided to enroll at Palmetto Prep for the 2016-17 school year.

This means Pennamon, who attended University Christian in Jacksonville, Fla., is now reclassified as a 2017 recruit and will still have four years of eligibility when he begins college.

Wisconsin saw cornerback Darius Hillary graduate after last season and the other returning starter, Sojourn Shelton, will be a senior this year. The Badgers have two other cornerback recruits in this year's freshman class, Dontye Carriere-Williams and Caesar Williams. Wisconsin has only four other corners listed on the roster: senior Serge Trezy, juniors Natrell Jamerson and Derrick Tindal and redshirt freshman Titus Booker.
