As it happened: Relive USWNT's draw with Sweden in Group D
The U.S. women's national team labored to a scoreless draw with rival Sweden, Friday. It looks like Carli Lloyd and Co. will have to wait to get a World Cup win over their former coach, Pia Sundhage. To lighten the mood after a rather drab game, enjoy these tweets and videos from famous fans.

90+3' : And that's it. Game ends in a scoreless draw. Some solid attacking play from both sides but solid defending as well. Stalemate is the operative word here. Good news is that the U.S. remains atop Group D with four points, while Sweden drop to third place with two. USWNT will be disappointed but it is a decent result for the Americans.
90' : Three extra minute added on. Will either team be able to break the deadlock? Spoiler alert: It's not likely.
77' : Meghan Klingenberg makes a fantastic goal-line cearence with her head to keep it level. Shortly after Alex Morgan is introduced and the U.S. attack gets another makeover.
68' : Abby Wambach comes in for Christen Press -- who didn't ake much of her first start up front in this World Cup. Not sure what this means for formation, whether Ellis wants the USWNT to go to a 4-3-3 or play the typical 4-4-2 with A-Rod playing the No. 10 role. Either way the Americans are getting closer, let's see if their superior fitness pays off.
60' : Both defenses are holding firm. Amy Rodriguez comes on for Morgan Brian. The Swedes have look the more dangerous of the two teams after the substitution.
45+1' : It's still scoreless as we head in to the break. Both teams had a lot of possession and a few dangerous chances in the box but nothing to show for it. The game hasn't been without controversy but the referee has stodd firm with her decisions. Let's see if the Americans' superior fitness will aid them in the second half as it did against Australia.
43' : A few more dangerous moves for the U.S. -- they have been the aggressors in the latter part of this half. But it still appears as if the two teams will go into the break scoreless.
40’ : Rapinoe has a dangerous free kick from about 35 to 40 yards out and skies it over the bar. The pace has died down a bit as we approach halftime
30' : A half hour in to this game and both teams are showing promise. The talk of this being an even match up have been largely correct as both teams look for quality chances instead of just crossing it blindly in to the box.
22' : Sweden starting to attack a bit more now, keeping more possession. A shot seemed to have come off of Megan Rapinoe's shoulder or upper arm in the box but it was not intentional. Looking at it again, it does appear that Sydney Leroux gets an elbow to it as well.
13':Christen Press causes an uproar from the U.S. fans as it appears she is held back in the penalty area before being called for a foul. Might have been called a foul on the Sweden player if it was a bit later in the game.
8':USWNT with majority of the possession thus far. Not much attacking impetus from either team as touches in the box have been sparse.
The opening ceremonies are done, national anthems sung and we are off at Winnipeg Stadium.
