Angels lose another pitcher as Nick Tropeano heads to DL
The Los Angeles Angels are becoming just as accustomed to writing names on the disabled list as they are the lineup.
Starting right handed pitcher Nick Tropeano has been placed on the 10-day DL with shoulder inflammation, the team announced Wednesday.

Tropeano threw 6 1/3 innings of one-hit ball in his last start Tuesday in the series opener vs. the Orioles before being taken out for what appeared to be situational reasons.
The Halos will replace Tropeano with infielder Ryan Schimpf. Schimpf was with the Angels earlier in the year before being sent down to AAA in April. He is 1-for-5 on the year with two RBIs and is a career .195 hitter having spent the past two years with the San Diego Padres.
Tropeano missed last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery to replace a torn UCL in his throwing elbow during the 2016 season.
On the year, Tropeano is 1-2 in four starts with a 3.42 ERA and 20 strikeouts.
