Angels' Albert Pujols passes Lou Gehrig on all-time hits list (VIDEO)

Albert Pujols continues his charge up the most hallowed all-time lists in baseball in 2016. On Tuesday, he moved past Yankees' great Lou Gehrig on the all-time hits list.

Shooting a single up the middle in the first inning of a matchup with the Twins, Pujols plated Yunel Escobar and moved past the man dubbed the 'Iron Horse' from his playing days. Gehrig once held the MLB record for consecutive games played with 2,130.

Next on the all-time hit list for Pujols is Roberto Alomar with 2,724 hits.
