Angels agree to 1-year deal with Kole Calhoun, avoid arbitration
The Angels and Gold Glove right fielder Kole Calhoun have reached an agreement on a 1-year contract avoiding arbitration.
According to MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez, the deal is worth $3.4 million, just a shade under the $3.9 million Calhoun's representation filed for.
With so much being made of the uncertainty in left field for the Angels, fans will no doubt be happy to see the team come to amicable terms with Calhoun following his Gold Glove season and a breakout offensive year with 26 home runs.
