Amazombie outsprints The Factor

Amazombie rallied down the stretch to win the $300,000 Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar on Sunday.

Under Mike Smith, Amazombie, ran the six furlongs in 1 minute, 8.65 seconds and beat The Factor by 1-1/4 lengths. Capital Account was third.

Amazombie returned $5.80 for a $2 win bet. It was Amazombie's 12th victory in 27 lifetime starts, and the win increased his earnings to $1,905,378.
