All-Star Game: Mike Trout in leadoff spot, Albert Pujols batting third for American League

The reigning American League Most Valuable Player is up first.

Angels star Mike Trout will bat leadoff for the AL while slugger Albert Pujols will hit third during Tuesday's All-Star Game in Cincinnati (on FOX).

The lineup, released on Monday, also features three Kansas City Royals and two Houston Astros, along with, Josh Donaldson (Blue Jays), Adam Jones (Orioles) and Nelson Cruz (Mariners).

Through the first half of the 2015 season, Trout is batting .312 with 26 home runs and 55 RBI. Pujols also has 26 HRs (tied with Trout for second overall in MLB) and 56 RBI to go along with his .255 average.

Angels pitcher Hector Santiago was a late addition to the AL All-Star Game roster, a career-first for the left hander.

Also on Monday, during a busy day of press conferences, Cincinnati was hit hard by rain and thunderstorms that could threaten the Home Run Derby later in the evening.
