Alamo Bowl extends contracts with Big 12, Pac-12 through 2025

SAN ANTONIO -- The Alamo Bowl has agreed on six-year contract extensions with the Big 12 and Pac-12 that will take their affiliations through 2025.

The conferences have met in the San Antonio game since 2010, and the Big 12 has placed a team in the Alamo Bowl every year since its inception in 1996.

The Big 12 sends its top choice outside the College Football Playoff to the Alamo Bowl.

ESPN has carried the game since it started in 1993, and is starting another 10-year deal with the Alamo Bowl this year.
