Adrian Peterson - Olympic Athlete?

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is teetering on the edge of the single season rushing record but has already set his sights on a new goal. Adrian Peterson recently told In Depth with Graham Bensinger that he wants to start running track. Why? He wants to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. "I feel like I can stand up to any challenge," Peterson said. "I know a lot of people laugh and be like 'come on, let's be real with yourself -- it's Usain Bolt,' but I feel like you can accomplish anything you put your mind to." Peterson plans to run the Penn Relays to "test the waters". He would ultimately like to compete in the 200 and 400 meter races in Rio. He needs 208 yards against the Packers today to break Eric Dickerson's single season rushing mark. [USA Today]
