110 Sports Podcast: Natalie Gulbis
LPGA golfer Natalie Gulbis joins Matt this week to talk about the Tour's
direction and future. They also discuss the anchored putter debate, why
so many top pros are taught by Butch Harmon and how connected she still
is with her alma mater, Arizona.
Among her observations:
On
improved scheduling on the LPGA Tour: "This is one of the best
schedules we've had. We have a great set of events this season. We're
going to some good golf courses."
On renowned instructor Butch
Harmon: "He makes it very simple... he's a lot of fun. He comes from a
golfing family, and he's not just a treat to be around, but from a top
players standpoint he does a great job of being involved in all of the
aspects of being a professional athlete. There's nothing you can throw
at him he hasn't seen."
On the anchored putter debate: "I think
they can allow it. I think there are other rules in golf that need to
maybe be looked at and addressed before the belly putter."
