Savchenko's Pink Panther bodysuit steals the show

Russians Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov may be leading the pairs figure skate, but it's Aliona Savchenko's neon outfit that's giving the world hot pink flashes. 

The German, who skated to the "Pink Panther" theme with partner Robin Szolkowy, was memorably outfitted in not a dress, but a bodysuit.

A mesmerizingly pink bodysuit.  

And to think, Sochi might not have been treated to this bedazzlingly pink fluorescent highlighter of a onesie at all.

Savchenko and Szolkowy had used the "Pink Panther" theme for their free skate program when they won the worlds in 2011.

But after trying and discarding two other short program music options, they decided to go back to the Henry Mancini theme. 

Savchenko and Szolkowy are 4.53 points behind Volosozhar and Trankov going into Wednesday's free skate. 

But in hot pink outfit choices, they are worlds ahead.
