Norway wins men's relay ahead of Germany, Canada
OSLO, Norway (AP) Norway won the men's 4x7.5-kilometer relay Saturday ahead of Germany and Canada, a day after its women's team was victorious in the relay.
The team of Ole Einar Bjorndalen, Tarjei Bo, Johannes Tingnes Bo and Emil Hegle Svendsen was timed in 1 hour, 13 minutes, 16.8 seconds, hitting all 20 targets, with the help of six reserve shells.
Norway won a men's Worlds relay for the 8th time.
Title-defending Germany's quartet of Erik Lesser, Benedikt Doll, Arnd Peiffer and Simon Schempp lost by 11.5 seconds.
Canada scored an upset with a bronze medal. Christian Gow, Nathan Smith, Scott Gow and Brendan Green finished 23.4 seconds behind the winner for its first relay medal at biathlon worlds.
France, a favorite, did not get into the race, suffering from mediocre shooting.
