Canadian figure skater Chan uncertain if he will keep competing

SOCHI, Russia -- Olympic silver medalist Patrick Chan is uncertain if he will continue competitive figure skating.

Next up on the schedule after finishing second to Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu at the Sochi Games would be the world championships, which Chan has won the last three years. He was noncommittal about going next month to Saitama, Japan.

The 23-year-old Canadian said Saturday he's won three world championships and, as he put it, ''I don't know if I could go to another one now. I'm pretty exhausted. It definitely does drain you and you lose perspective.''

Chan also says he doesn't want to think about the 2018 Olympics in South Korea, noting ''it's hard to look that far ahead. I didn't even do that after Vancouver.''

Chan finished fifth at the 2010 Olympics.
