Britain's Reade wins BMX test event for 2012 Games
British rider Shanaze Reade won the rain-affected BMX test event for the 2012 London Olympics on Saturday.
Reade won the medal race in 38.275 seconds at the BMX Supercross World Cup, 0.449 seconds ahead of New Zealand's Sarah Walker.
World champion Mariana Pajon did not finish after a heavy fall at Olympic Park.
Reade says the win ''gives me extra confidence going into next summer.''
In the men's event, New Zealand's Marc Willers won gold ahead of Joris Daudet of France.
